Are you shortsighted and want
to stop wearing your glasses?

Join our orthokeratology (ortho-k) lens study!

What’s Ortho-K?

Ortho-K lenses are special contact lenses worn overnight to gently reshape the front of your eye while you sleep. When you wake up, you should be able to see clearly without needing glasses or contact lenses during the day!

What’s This Study About?

We are testing a new Ortho-K lens (MCOK-01). It’s made from the most breathable material available. This study aims to check whether these lenses are safe and effective across a wider population.

You may be eligible if you:

Are of non-East Asian background (neither parent can be East Asian).

Are aged 6 to 40 years old (inclusive).

Have shortsightedness between -0.50D to -6.00D and astigmatism less than 1.5D.

(You will be asked to undergo eye examinations on the first visit to confirm your eligibility to participate in the study.)

What’s involved? You will be asked to attend 9 visits at Eyecare Kids. After screening and lens allocation, you will wear the lenses nightly for up to 12 months, removing them each morning. Follow-up visits will occur after 1 day, 1 week, 2 weeks, and at 1, 3, 6, 9, and 12 months of wear.

What are the benefits? Study lenses will be provided and fitted at no cost. You will also receive reimbursement for travel/refreshments associated with attending the visits.
